Run ... Run to inspire

Now a days there are lots of running events left and right,  every week different organizers set a running events some with a purpose, some for fun,  some well let me say for business. Well I'm not against that coz I know for sure that behind the amount being collected there's someone or something out there will benefit to it..

I'm Personally been running for years now but not professionally, before I was only running alone, still that doesn't matter and besides I'm not the only one running alone,  right?! I do run just for mere fun, exercise and to be able to help in small ways.  I've run to a numbers of running event but I make sure that its a run for a cause like the World vision run who helps the indigents students sponsoring their schooling, also I joined the Energizer night run that part of the registration goes to buying hearing aids for less brothers that needs it.

As years goes by running became a habit for many and a lot are getting into it. And now thankfully I'm running with friends and with someone..and we run for a purpose. Our purpose may not be able to give money or any material things but the effort and the strength that we dedicate to our beneficiary somehow also gives them strength to fight their own battles and win over it.

Medals are the proof you've finish it! Yes I've made it!

Team Maranat, the team I'm part of. This is a group comprised of "kapatiran" of individuals who have climbed Mt.  Maranat in Norzagaray.  Each of us may already had run into two or more events separately,  each have its own experiences,  I myself as I had said that I joined to a number of run. The team was formed after kap Bino and my partner Kap Omeng (who are part of the team now) joined the soleus run and encourage the kapatiran to form a team.  And right now the team may still young,  some may still be new however that will never hinder us to run better, to be known and to run to inspire.

As for me my interest in running from the road evolved in doing trail run. Actually just last March 15 I had my first trail run organized by Conquer. It was only 10k as usual there's always somewhere to start at and eventually it may progress,  with the support of the team and friends I can do better. Medals and freebies are just additional perks but the fact that you have the courage to start the race,  run all through out the course and finish it clean and strong without giving up despite of all the pain...  that's already enough award that others will only dream on.

Next target is the Salomon trail run with a distance of 24k and cutoff time of 5hours, but mind you this will be a bloody run going up the mountain will gonna be tough and hard,  so this will really gonna be a big challenge. Hence,  how will you know if you'll not gonna try... its better to say "atleast I tried" Rather than die saying "what if".

Challenge yourself,  Push yourself further and to greater.  Just remember always be happy and be safe.
