Alibijaban Island: Solo trip II

Thank you Lord for the fine weather

Most of the time everytime we will be going somewhere or do something like traveling, hiking, going to different places we want to be with our friends, family or someone important to you, well i surely agree with that, who doesn't want to. Because we know things will be happier to do with your loved ones, to share the moments with them. However, there are some or there will be a moment that you would like to be on your own, to do things by yourself, to be somewhere you are not familiar, be with people you don't know and doesn't know you either..just learning to deal with... its a total world of strangers.

Some may think that it will be dangerous knowing no one in that place, well come to think of it danger is always there, just waiting to happen, but then with trust, knowledge and awareness of things around you I guess that danger can be surpassed

Me and my itchy feet off to Quezon.

These are the view along the way.animals, fields, trees

And this is my view from bangka, got the front sit..so i got all the splashes.. niiiice!

Just this last weekend August 30,2014 since I have a long weekend from work so I deceided to push on w/ my plan, so...I went to this Island that only afew had visited, that only few knows, its the Alibihahan Island in San Andres Quezon, all by myself a solo exploration! I have been planning to visit this Island for so long however due to time and weather constrained it was only now I was able to fulfill my dream. (By the way my apology to my dadi koi if I didn't bring you along as I've said this is a long dream of mine and also to test my capability and self reliance, but next time) Nevertheless that was still so worth it! As Ive got new ideas, experience a lot of new things and I can proudly say I've made it! eheheh

To be able to get there one must take a bus bound to Lucena grand terminal that may takes 4-5 hours from Manila, then from terminal have to take mini bus plying to San Andres, and that's gonna be another 6-7 hours of butt forming travel. But wait there's more to be in the Island itself you have to walk for about 5 mins going to port and bangkas will be waiting to transport you to the Pulo, as what's been known. Bangka transfer may take 15-20minutes so while waiting to reach the island you may want to pan your eyes from left to right, to the sea and sky have your self be captured of the silence of the nature.

even Omie bear enjoys the view

A week before this tour Ive been praying and asking God to allow me to do this by giving me a good weather, well what can I say God is really so good, the day is magnificent, the sea is so calm and peaceful specially when I was in the bangka we have crossed the sea safe and sound. It may had rained a little but overall the sky was beaming with great light and heat. From the port you could easily see the Pulo and once you get closer you will not gonna miss it as the shore is filled with whitish/brownies sand. I reached the Island about 7.30am, and since I dont know any from there and didn't even gives a head up to kuya Randy Velo (who is incharge of the visitors) no one waited for me nor knows my presence. Thou I looked for kuya Randy as I as adviced at the port to look for him unfortunately he and his wife are not there, good thing mam Jenina (a school teacher there) was available to accommodate me. He even asked her son Redgie and kuya Randy's son to join me and tour the Island. We walked from shore passing the bakawan to bridge to the "farm" to bantayan until we went back but using a different trail. Since the water was "tibas" means low tide (taeb = high tide) so we walked in bakawan and saw the sand in the middle of sea, there is even one part that at one angle forms a heart. It was so cute, the place is so beautiful, so peaceful, calm and the people are so nice. Who wouldn't fall in love with the place and promise to come back.

When I came back to this "receiving place" kuya Randy is already there, met him, talked a little then since It was already past 11am I ate my packed lunch, rest for a while, took lot more pictures and just sat in the sand facing the blue-green clear sea that because it so clear you could see the sand at the bottom...as well as the sea urchins.  Whispered a small thank you and prayer, and just let my self be captured by the beauty of the place I even fell asleep. Then when I woke up Inel and even mam Jenina invited me to take a deep in the water, ahhhh the water is refreshing its warm but still cold. Weird ha...

with Ate Jean and the kids

                                                       Had our own moments.. separately..eheheh

Time fly so fast, at one moment I was just enjoying then all of a sudden I was being told by the setting sun I have to prepare to go. I was already prep up but kuya Randy is still not coming back from the afternoon fishing. So while waiting I spent time first with the ate Jean, mam Jenina and some kids. I brought some packs of candies and chocolates, and with those goodies I could see that they liked it and they had fun... well I had fun too talking to them, playing with them, teasing with them Just a nice way to spend time while waiting, aside from that I walked on the shore, feeling the breeze of the air and watching the sun set as it forms a beautiful painting in the sky.

Sadly the time has come and as much as I would like to do an overnight there I'm just alone and besides the travel back is gonna be another 10hours or more and I still wanna go up to Mt. Maranat to see tatay and some loved ones.. eheheh so I have to move on---------------- It was already six when the bangka sailed back to port, bid good bye to ate Jean and kuya Randy, went to bus terminal , I took the superlines bus that have the latest trip back to Manila (if you want to stay longer at the island)  that leaves at 9:30pm. I was asleep all through out the trip, except for that one bus stop where I had to pee then after I'm back to sleeping again and when I woke the next thing I knew I'm already in Manila, I get off at Cubao then from there I directly went to Bulacan to do a trek to Mt. Maranat. weeeooew ahahahah super trip!

Now that i have done the Alibihaban Island tour.. I wonder where me and my itchy feet will be next hmmmmm?

I thank God for the safe ride, for a good weather, nice people here and there, for the beautiful nature and amazing trip. To Jp, bez Quel and my Dadi O for supporting my crazyness eheheh .. dont worry there will next time, to make you worry again,, ahahahah LuvU. And to mom as well.. muah muah
